Hi guys, sorry for the late posting of my first impressions on Hyrule Warriors Legends for the Ninendo 3DS due to recording gameplay videos on my Wii U.
First of all, the entire game for now is exactly the same as the Wii U version with the exception of additional characters and DLCs which are exclusive to the 3DS version. Also, you can switch between characters during the battle which makes you wonder why wasn’t this feature included in the Wii U version. Due to the fact that the game was ported from the Wii U, some of the elements are not optimised for viewing on the 3DS. For example, the map is very cluttered and messy causing the player to lose track of the character during gameplay. When tested on the regular 3DS, the game was very sluggish compared to the New 3DS.
Overall this game has the potential to be enjoyable, but due to the lack of optimisation for older 3DS, only those who own the New 3DS will be able to enjoy the game up to its full potential. I shall be looking forward to continue playing this game and in a few weeks time will release a full review of the game(Do note that I have never played the Wii U version of the game).
