October 2017 Update

Hi guys,

Its been a while since I have written a blog article. This is due to the fact I’m in my final year of my degree programme and I have been really busy with my Final Year Project as well as deciding whether to continue my masters degree or gain working experience first. If you have been following my YouTube channel(Just click gaming at the top menu bar), you have noticed that I have done a lot of gameplay videos especially since I have finished Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Switch although that video recording did encounter some timing issues after being uploaded to YouTube and I’m working on resolving that issue. Also, 4 new gameplay series is underway after acquiring a PS4 Pro thanks to Impulse Megastore’s Merdeka Sale. Let’s talk a little bit about what has happened in the month of September as well as upcoming plans for my YouTube channel.

Sword Art Online : Alicization Arc (Season 3) Confirmed as well as a Gun Gale Online Spin Off

This was pretty much confirmed earlier today at a press event in Japan and was hinted in the movie Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale which I finally manage to watch after receiving my limited edition Blu-Ray and ripping the entire Blu-Ray and Bonus CD in its original quality which is now available to stream if you are on my network. BTW, I was really impressed by the movie and my favourite soundtrack was “smile for you” which was playing as Kirito was wiping out all the enemies with just one swing of the sword.

As many of you may already know, Season 3 of SAO will be based off the Alicization Arc of the novel which many fans claimed is the best in light novel series. Therefore, I can’t wait to see what they are able to adapt from the light novel into the anime series even though I haven’t read it yet.. However, there was mixed reactions for the Gun Gale Online spin off, as depicted in the trailer, it will not star Kirito or Sinon which in my opinion doesn’t really matter as they may have done that in order to cater for a different kind of audience.

New Digimon Adventure Tri Episodes

We also saw 4 new episodes for Digimon Adventure Tri: Coexistence on Crunchyroll. Although I was getting annoyed by the fact the release period for each of these Digimon Adventure Tri episodes is a bit too long as the next part is estimated to be released in the summer of 2018 which makes you wonder, what on earth is taking them so long. Although with each episode, we do learn more about the new Digi-Destined’s background but the problem is that the story is progressing too slowly. So I hope that they would shorten the release period while maintaining the quality of their episodes and I believe many Digimon fans would appreciate this.

Sword Art Online : Fatal Bullets announced for PS4, PC

In other twist of events, Bandai Namco announced Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullets for the PS4 and PC for 2018( also Nintendo Switch will be considered if they receive enough demand). This game is supposed to be the first First Person Shooting(FPS) based off Sword Art Online: Phantom Bullet or Season 2 of the anime. The trailer shows that you can play as Kirito and Sinon as well as it will incorporate a story mode just like the previous SAO games which incorporate a story mode and then a lot of post-game related tasks for the player to do. I’m kind of split whether or not to get this game as I have yet to finish the previous SAO games.

Future Gameplay Plans

Finally, I would like to talk about my future plans for my YouTube gameplay series. As of next week, I will try to finish up the story mode for Accel World Vs Sword Art Online: Millennium Twilight as well as try to make a huge progress in the other SAO games such as Lost Song, Re: Hollow Fragment and Hollow Realization. So I hope you guys can be patient as I try to balance my study life and my gaming life. Until next time, I will catch you guys later.
